Hit-Boy and Nas to Drop ‘Ultra Black’ Friday | ‘King’s Disease’ Available August 21st
Hit-Boy is one of the most sought out producers in the music industry.
This week he was confirmed as the executive producer on Nas’ highly anticipated, forthcoming album project.
UB has learned the single “Ultra Black” will be released this Friday August 14th via Mass Appeal.
Hit-Boy says “August 21st will be a day to remember.” Nas released his last album “Nasir” in 2018. UPDATE: The full album and cover info have been released. “King’s Disease,” drops next Friday, August 21st!
After earning his second GRAMMY win for his work on “Racks In The Middle,” Hit-Boy is showing no signs of slowing down. He recently releasing a joint album, Also known as Courtesy of Half-A-Mil, with Dom Kennedy, previewing unreleased tracks in the Verzuz battle and working late in the studio with the likes of Big Sean and Benny The Butcher.
As one of the music industry’s most sought out hip-hop producers, the California-bred Hit-Boy has more than earned his moniker. Born Chauncey Hollis, the 33-year-old multi-hyphenate artist from Pasadena and the neighboring Inland Empire, boasts an impressive roster of credits, from wielding pop smashes for Beyoncé, Rihanna and Ariana Grande to producing hit records for Jay-Z, Kanye West, Kendrick Lamar, Travis Scott, and more over his thirteen plus years in the industry.
As a rapper and songwriter in his own right, Hit-Boy has recorded and released seven mixtapes and three collaborative albums, and taken home a 2020 Best Rap Performance Grammy for his appearance on the late Nipsey Hussle’s “Racks In The Middle” alongside breakout rap star Roddy Ricch.
