Rock & Roll Hall of Fame and Songwriters Hall of Fame–inducted hitmakers Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis, not to mention Hometown Talent have officially opened their “Nothing But Hits” residency at Voltaire at The Venetian Resort Las Vegas this past weekend.
Delivering a powerful, sold-out debut that felt less like a concert and more like a live celebration of the soundtrack of a generation.

Anchored by a world-class live band and dynamic vocal performances from friend of UB and Star Search-winner Shanice Wilson and American Idol-winner Ruben Studdard, the opening weekend brought decades of iconic music to life, seamlessly moving through eras, genres, and cultural moments that have defined modern R&B and Pop.

Friday night set the tone with a standout appearance from one of our favorites, Ann Nesby, who captivated the audience with a soulful rendition of “I’m Still Wearing Your Name” before lifting the room with the Sounds of Blackness classic “I Believe.”
Saturday night continued the momentum with unforgettable guest moments from friend of UB Ledisi and Chanté Moore.

Chanté brought the crowd to their feet with her Jam & Lewis produced hit “Chanté’s Got a Man,” before delivering a show-stopping performance of the Janet Jackson classic “Anytime, Anyplace.”
A nod to one of the many defining eras shaped by Jam & Lewis’ signature sound.
Throughout the weekend, Nothing But Hits lived up to its name, taking audiences on a time-traveling journey through an unparalleled catalog — from The Human League and the Cherrelle and Alexander O’Neal era, to classics from New Edition, Usher, and Yolanda Adams.
Each moment reinforced the duo’s unmatched influence, with songs that continue to resonate across generations.
The opening weekend also drew a notable crowd of industry leaders and cultural tastemakers, including legendary filmmaker Reginald Hudlin, Songwriters Hall of Famer Jermaine Dupri, musical super-producer Bryan Michael Cox, singer and radio personality Ángela Winbush, television executive Stephen Hill, Jodeci‘s Dalvin DeGrate, Grammy-nominated recording artist Roe, Afro-Latino R&B Sensation Ayden, and more — underscoring the show’s cultural significance and industry-wide support.
More than a retrospective, the show is a living, breathing experience — blending nostalgia with fresh energy, and leaving room for surprise guest appearances that make each night unique. As Jam & Lewis like to say, “you never know who’s gonna show.”
Following recent national television appearances on Good Morning America, Live with Kelly & Mark, and The Tamron Hall Show, the successful opening weekend signals strong momentum for the residency, which continues with its final four performances on April 22, 24, 25, and 26.
With only a limited number of shows remaining, audiences are encouraged to experience Nothing But Hits while they can — because as opening weekend proved, you truly never know who’s going to show.
