JoJo Continues to Tease New Album; Drops R&B Banger ‘Lonely Hearts’
One of our favorites JoJo has dropped her new sangin track, “Lonely Hearts,” the latest from her highly-anticipated new album “good to know,” available next Friday, May 1st via Clover Music/Warner Records.
The song follows in the footsteps of the fiery single “Man.” This is the JoJo we love, R&B and soulful!
“How can I work on me
If I’m workin on your body
I thought we were meant to be
But we never really got it did we
I know one thing
Lonely Hearts won’t break
Hearts won’t break”
“This song continues the journey of self-love that I’ve been on…Realizing that while temptation and self-doubt may arise, at the end of the day, choosing self-preservation over toxic relationships is what I’m doing in my life right now.”
“good to know” is raw, reckless badassery juxtaposed by introspective R&B, sticky hooks, and lush harmonics.
JoJo worked with heavy-hitting producers Doc McKinney, Lido and 30 Roc to hone the sound, and dug deep within herself to at first escape, but ultimately embrace and channel her insecurities into a place of self-love.
“Lonely Hearts” from the upcoming album “good to know” out May 1st. Pre-order below.
