The newest episode of “For The Fellas” went live yesterday.
Rooted in BET’s pillars of community, culture and connection, the episode brings together Domani Harris, Deante Murray, and Terrell Carter in an important conversation on how men can better show up for Black women and Mothers in their lives.
Hosted by Brian “B-Mac” McIntosh, the Episode Honors Black Mothers and Opens an Honest Conversation on How Black Men Can Better Show Up for Black Women, Starting with Their Own Mental Health.
BET’s award-winning digital franchise returns with a special tribute episode on BET.com.
The episode pairs a celebration of Black motherhood with an unfiltered look at the work Black men are doing, and still need to do, to be present, accountable, and emotionally available partners, sons, and fathers.
At the heart of that conversation: the case that prioritizing mental health is not separate from showing up for the women in their lives, but the foundation for it.
Through stories about the mothers, grandmothers, and mother figures who raised them, Harris, Murray, and Carter open up about lessons in resilience, faith, and unconditional love — and the responsibility that comes with carrying those lessons forward.
The episode also tackles the silent weight Black men often carry, the cultural expectations around vulnerability, and why therapy, healthy community, and emotional honesty are essential tools for healing — for themselves and for the women they love.
The episode arrives during Mental Health Awareness Month and ahead of Mother’s Day, extending the franchise’s continued commitment to using cultural moments as entry points for the conversations Black men need most.
