Usher + Eminem Developing New TV Series

Two of music’s biggest and most successful stars are developing new tv series, Usher and Eminem.
The Untitled Usher project, will be a drama series about his music, with partners with UCP, a division of Universal Studio Group.
The series will explore music, style, sex, romance and secrets that threaten to tear relationships apart.
“My 30-year catalog has resonated with so many people no matter where they were in their lives,” Usher said in a statement. “I’m happy to be working with UCP to bring the music to life. I hope the series resonates with you the way my music continues to.”
Executive producers are Selwyn Seyfu Hinds, Katie Zucker (Mad Massive Entertainment) and Kenny Meiselas (KMei Productions).
Rapper Eminem, is developing a series around his hit single “Stan.’
“Stan” is from Eminem’s 2000 “The Marshall Mathers LP” and is about a psychotically devoted superfan. Stans are now known to be an artist’s most intense supporter.
The “Stans” series is a revealing, edgy, and disarmingly personal journey into the world of super-fandom, told through the lens of one of the world’s most iconic and enduring artists, Eminem, and the fans that worship him.
“Stans” is coming this fall from Eminem’s Shady Films, in association with DIGA Studios and Hill District Media via Paramount/MTV.
“Stans will be the opportunity for us to to turn the camera around and ask the audience about being fans — and in some cases, fanatics. This is a study of the relationship between fanbase and artist through the lens of one of Eminem’s most fascinating songs and one of the world’s most important entertainers,” stated Paul Rosenberg and Stuart Parr.
