From Carlos King’s Kingdom Reign Entertainment, “Bold & Bougie” follows dynamic personalities Malaysia Pargo, an entrepreneur and mother of three, coming off an eye-opening year; Tameka Foster, a wardrobe stylist to Hollywood’s elite, podcaster, author and passionate mother, who is embracing her soon-to-be empty nester life; Gocha Hawkins, a restaurateur, mother of two and a grandmother of four who is now living in her “unfiltered unapologetic” era with her wife; Princess Banton-Lofters, a successful talent scout, television producer, business owner, and mother on a quest to get the recognition she deserves and Crystal Smith, a restaurant owner and single mother of three ready to reclaim her power following a tumultuous year that included a public divorce from a famous ex.

Producer Princess deals with the after-effects of a botched surgery.

Tishelle from UB spoke to the beautiful ladies about the new series “Bold and Bougie,” Malaysia Pargo, Tameka Foster, Gocha Hawkins, and Princess Banton-Lofters.

Malaysia speaks on how she felt when creator Carlos King told her the series was built around her, while in a hilarious follow-up, Tameka shares she was told the same thing by Carlos.

Gocha tells UB, how the ladies were able to come together and create this special series, and Princess Banton, shares what it is about Atlanta, that makes it the hot spot.

The ladies also dish on the hardest part of filming and they clear up any misconceptions, about how the cast really feels about each other and more!

Meet The Ladies of “Bold & Bougie!”

CRYSTAL RENAY SMITH

Crystal Renay Smith is a celebrity chef, television personality, and philanthropist. She is the co-owner of the restaurant chain Johnny’s Chicken and Waffles, which is currently opening its fourth location. From Good Day New York to Good Day Sacramento, Crystal has appeared on morning shows sharing her culinary expertise. Her popular recipes, known as “Crystal Creations,” are not only shared on her social media but have been featured in several print outlets, including OK! Magazine.

The popularity of “Crystal Creations” sparked a collaboration between Crystal and Gobble, the originator of the 15-minute gourmet dinner kit. Crystal’s meal kit was available for a Valentine’s Day special on Gobble and sold out in 24 hours!

Crystal’s success as a chef was featured on the E! Network show “Platinum Life,” where Smith starred alongside women who, like herself, were focused on their careers while balancing their hectic lives in relationships with famous music artists. Before her role on “Platinum Life,” Crystal made her TV debut on the BET show, “About the Business.”

Before establishing her career, Smith faced several obstacles growing up in an underprivileged community in Fort Myers, Florida. Smith wants to support those in need, knowing what it feels like as she was once there but worked hard with her siblings for a better life, leading to Smith’s passion for philanthropy. Smith serves on the board of “The Smith Family Foundation,” founded by her ex-husband, the Grammy award-winning singer Ne-Yo. The foundation’s mission is to support children in foster care. Being in the foster system herself, this issue is close to Crystal’s heart. Smith has also supported several other charities, such as The Jenesse Center for Domestic Violence Prevention in Los Angeles and Projectfly LA, which helps the underprivileged youth of Los Angeles. Smith is a businesswoman and mother and philanthropy, food, and family mean everything to her.

GOCHA HAWKINS

Visionary celebrity chef, Gocha Hawkins owns the renowned Gocha’s Breakfast Bars and Gocha’s Tapas Bar.
