Legendary H-Town Returns with Seductive ‘Strokey Doke’ Visual Feat. Drea Kelly

Legendary R&B group H-Town, have released the new video to their current single “Strokey Doke.”

The video stars Drea Kelly, as the lead.

“Strokey Doke” reached #1 on the iTunes chart last year, released last year, and #27 on the Billboard Adult R&B Airplay chart. The single was released as Shazam Conner & H-Town, as Shazam launched his solo career. The single features vocals from all 3 original members, Shazam, G.I. and the late Dino Conner.

Produced with meticulous attention to detail by Shazam Conner and Dino Conner, “Strokey Doke” weaves together soulful melodies, evocative lyrics, and an infectious rhythm that has captured the hearts of both old-school R&B aficionados and a new generation of fans. The video was directed by N’fectious Muse and Scratch Film.

The resounding success of “Strokey Doke” represents a pivotal juncture in the careers of Shazam Conner and H-Town, demonstrating their ability to evolve while staying true to their musical roots.

Founded in 1990, H-Town originally consisted of twin brothers Keven “Dino” Conner and Solomon “Shazam” Conner, alongside longtime friend Darryl “G.I.” Jackson. Their 1993 hit single “Knockin’ Da Boots” changed the face of R&B in the early 90’s and holds its notoriety to this day.

Their debut album “Fever For Da Flavor” sold more than 3 million copies. The sophmore album, “Beggin’ After Dark” released in 1995, included the platinum single “Emotions”, and a third album “Ladies Edition” featured the gold selling singles “They Like It Slow” and “Natural Woman.”

A tragic car accident in 2003 took the life of Dino. Since this devastating blow to the group, Shazam and G.I. have continued the legacy of H-Town, and still represent the group’s core values.

In 2021, H-Town returned with an EP entitled, “Date Night,” which charted in over 25 countries worldwide, while amassing over 2 million streams across all platforms.
