ZHU and Tinashe Drop ‘Only’ Single and Visual

ZHU and Tinashe have collaborated, on the haunting new single “Only,” released today via Astralwerks.

The searing interplay between the two distinctive vocalists fuels a song that spans the spectrum from loneliness to connection, quiet to frenzy, darkness to light. Written and produced by both ZHU and Tinashe.

Director Jack Murgatroyd says, “The video nods to the current moment, that ubiquitous feeling of uncertainty and uneasiness. This was our creative approach to exploring those emotions, our abstract way of trying to tap into our feelings of isolation and redundancy.”

“Only” is ZHU’s first release since officially signing to Astralwerks earlier this year. It follows his late 2019 collaboration with partywithray, “Came For The Low,” which was released by the label. Watch for ZHU’s performance of “Only” at 8:30 pm PT tonight during EDC Las Vegas Virtual Rave-A-Thon. The three-night livestream event can be viewed on tv.insomniac.com.

Tinashe of course is a multi-Platinum-certified R&B singer, writer and dancer, Tinashe also produces, mixes, engineers, creative directs, and edits. As a result, she blazes past any and all boundaries taking full control of her independence on her latest project, Song For You – a multi-track compilation featuring G-Eazy, 6lack, Ms. Banks and more.
