Pia Mia Returns with New Heat ‘Princess’

Today, platinum recording artist and actress Pia Mia returns with the hot new single entitled “Princess.”

This marks the very first release under her newly minted deal with Austin Rosen’s Electric Feel Entertainment and Republic Records. Most importantly, it also kicks off what promises to be her biggest, boldest, and brightest era yet. Newly represented by Founder and CEO of Q&A, Troy Carter, Pia Mia has assembled an all-star team behind her.

On “Princess,” her confident and charismatic delivery builds towards an unshakable hook sampling the 2007 Chris Brown classic “Kiss Kiss.” A sexy, R&B-tinged dance-pop record, “Princess” reimagines the hit for 2020, with Pia’s female perspective & global pop sensibilities. “Princess” is laden with sassy, tongue-in-cheek lyrics, offering fans a preview of the modern-day anthems Pia Mia has in store.

“I was in the car on a long drive to a friend’s house playing throwbacks when “Kiss Kiss” came on. I went directly into a studio session that night and made “Princess.”” “It’s a fun, unifying record that’s empowering for women without alienating the guys. It brings us all together. Right now, the world is experiencing dark times, and so I really wanted to bring some light. My new music is strong, it’s sexy, it’s confident. It’s about having fun, embracing your sexuality and unapologetically being yourself.”

Pia Mia continues to pop up everywhere in 2020. Her platinum-selling 2015 anthem “Do It Again” feat. Chris Brown & Tyga recently rushed to the forefront of the culture again. Its resurgence began when Stranger Things star Noah Schnapp uploaded a Tik Tok create featuring his own choreography to the track. Already, it’s spawned over 5 million recreations, and accumulated hundreds of millions of combined views.

At just 23 years old, Pia Mia has cemented herself as a formidable star with a hand in multiple corners of entertainment.

With even more feel-good “global pop” on the horizon, Pia couldn’t be more optimistic about the future. “My new music is strong, it’s sexy,it’s confident. It’s about having fun, embracing your sexuality and unapologetically being yourself. That’s me in 2020. But then again, I can’t wait to continue to evolve as an artist,” she says, assuring that her soaring vocals will also take center stage down the line. “I know that I was put on this earth to sing…I want to do this forever.”
