Producer Will Packer Closes Deal With Universal Television

Packer has produced numerous hit films including Think Like A Man, Takers, Obsessed and Stomp the Yard — which all opened #1 at the box office. “We are excited to work with Will. We have been impressed by his keen eye on the feature side with the several hit movies he’s produced. We are looking forward to bringing his enthusiasm and expertise into television,” said Bela Bajaria, Executive Vice-President, Universal TV.

He will debut four films in 2014-Universal’s Ride Along starring Ice Cube, Kevin Hart and John Leguizamo (January 17, 2014), Screen Gems’ About Last Night starring Kevin Hart, Michael Ealy, Joy Bryant, Regina Hall and Paula Patton (February 14, 2014), No Good Deed starring Idris Elba and Taraji P. Henson (April 25, 2014) and the highly-anticipated sequel, Think Like A Man Too is slated for release on June 20, 2014.

Packer will next produce Screen Gems’ Wedding Ringers starring Kevin Hart and Josh Gad in September.
