On Monday night, BET+ hosted a celebration event hosted by Warryn Campbell, with a special performance by Kirk Franklin in honor of the Season 2 premiere of the, music-driven hit drama “Kingdom Business.”
UB was in the house, for the exciting event, that was held at the TV Academy’s Wolf Theater in Los Angeles, CA.
The event was hosted by Warryn Campbell, who is a composer of the “Kingdom Business” soundtrack, Israel Houghton, Adrienne Bailon-Houghton, Lena Byrd Miles, and more attended.
“Kingdom Business” executives and show creators attended, including Kirk Franklin, Dr. Holly Carter, DeVon Franklin, Michael Van Dyke, JJ Sakamar, Kerry Lenhart, and Deb Evans.
Guests were treated to a special performance by Kirk Franklin, who literally got in the audience and made us all stomp!
The screening and performance was followed up with a celebratory reception.
A new episode of “Kingdom Business” launches tomorrow November 9th on BET+, entitled “Why We Sing.”
The series stars, Yolanda Adams, Serayah, Chaundre Hall-Broomfield, Michael Jai White, Michael Beach as series regulars and explores the gospel music industry through the lenses of family, faith, love and the redemptive power of music.

This season, the scandalous antecedent events of lust, love, and denial have caused a kingdom in chaos. In defense of their faith-filled legacy, the Jordan family fights for their gospel record label, their positions in the church, and even their lives.
All the while, disgraced gospel phenom, Rbel, struggles to secure justice for Dani and escape her own demons. As family members reunite, new alliances form, and old secrets surface…Rbel searches for answers, and Denita battles to retain her gospel throne.
Joining the cast this season is Tasha Cobbs Leonard, Chandler Moore and legendary actors Loretta Devine and Louis Gossett Jr. The pair portray Denita Jordan’s parents, Darlene and Jeremiah.
UB spoke to Loretta Devine earlier this year, and she told us about joining the cast; “I’m going to be in the second season of “Kingdom Business,” with Yolanda Adams who’s the main star. Also Michael Beach and just a full cast. Just incredible talent and I think everyone will like it. I’m really enjoying working on it, so we’ll see where that goes.”
