J. Brown Drops Fire New Single ‘Simpin” | Lead Single from Debut Album
J. Brown has dropped his fire new single “Simpin‘,” the first single from his upcoming debut album, “Chapter & Verse,” available May 6th.
This is his first project after recently being signed to a recording contract with the SRG/ILS Group under the MoCha Music label imprint.
“Simpin’” was written and produced by Jake Krumm and Jared Krumm. “I fell in love with this track the moment I heard it,” states J. Brown. “The thought of telling your lady or man that you miss them in a somewhat slang kind of word, would make them chuckle and make them miss you too and it reminds you that missing someone is the same in any language,” he adds.
With music firmly in his blood and armed with tunnel-vision focus on following his passion of making music from the heart, J. Brown is here, to deliver a dose of straight-up R&B.
Some of his music is subtle pop and 90s throwback influences – to a music generation largely devoid of truly soulful and impassioned music.
In 2019 J. Brown appeared on “The Ellevation Tour” headlined by the beautiful and talented Grammy-Award winning recording artist, Elle Varner.
Last year, J. Brown celebrated the milestone of landing his 2nd Top 10 Billboard R&B Single with the song “Moon“, lifted from his debut EP, “Forever Yours“.
That marked J. Brown‘s third Top 15 Billboard R&B single in the last two years.
