Musiq Soulchild Joins James Vickery on the Hypnotic ‘Come To Me’
Following the release of his highly-praised Maths Time Joy-produced single “Somewhere, Out There” last month, the fast-rising male face to the UK’s R&B scene James Vickery has returned to continue the support for his forthcoming debut album with his latest offering “Come To Me” feat. Musiq Soulchild. The track is produced by Pomo.
While last month’s effort “Somewhere, Out There” saw him continue the vibrant R&B aesthetic he showed on his previous EP “Overture,” “Come To Me” sees him channel a far more soulful and organic direction. With nods to the classic lo-fi sound of the Motown era, his newest gem sees him and R&B legend Musiq Soulchild spread their creative wings and offer up a distinct unique addition to Vickery’s catalog.
“Tearing me up
Tearing me down
You make the man in me
Spin right around”
JV’s distinctive voice and look, combined with his incredible vision for how his voice fits into a song allows for a completely unique take on R&B and makes his one of British R&B/Soul Artists to watch out for in 2021.
