Up and coming rapper/singer/songwriter TheHxliday has released his visual for his painfully honest and powerful single called “Thank U.

The Nicholas Jandora directed video depicts the negative impact of drugs and how they should never be the answer.

Showcasing his moody hybrid of dark pop, hip-hop, and alt-R&B, “Thank U” is the Baltimore native’s first new music since signing to Motown Records earlier this year and is the lead single off his forthcoming BatBoy EP coming in 2021.

“I’ve been feelin’ way too numb
‘Cause I’ve been feelin’ way too gone
And I don’t wanna be all alone
‘Cause oh I hate this feeling in my heart
We gettin’ high, we too up
I feel alright, thank you drugs
Look in your eyes, this ain’t love
And I feel like what we had fell apart”

Kids these days feel the urge to take drugs to help cope with their emotions,” says TheHxlidayWith “Thank U” it’s a message saying ‘You can take drugs. You can take anything you want but it’s only going to make things worse.’ You don’t need that to heal they’re better things to do.
