UB First: Toni Braxton & Missy Elliott Finally Link Up for ‘Do It’
Two of the 90s biggest artists, never actually worked together…until now.
Multimillion-selling R&B pop pioneer and seven-time Grammy Award-winner, Toni Braxton recently announced her new label deal with Island Records.
The first single from her new album release “Do It” was released in April and charted at #13 on Urban AC, making it the highest radio chart debut of her career.
UB has learned this Friday June 26th, “Do It” featuring Missy Elliott will be released to streaming services.
This is the first time the two legends have worked together. In 2013 when Toni made the announcement she was retiring, Missy was one of the main artist who urged her to return to music.
Toni has already released one dance remix to “Do It,” the Zac Samuel remix.
Toni Braxton‘s new album will be available in August. Last month Toni released “Dance” the Dave Audé Remix.
This will be the follow-up to “Sex & Cigarettes,” released in 2018. The album received and won multiple UB Honors. Features the hit single “Long As I Live” which shot to #1 on the Billboard Adult R&B chart and top 10 on the R&B charts.
Last year, Braxton embarked on her “Long As I Live” tour with SWV visiting 21 cities in addition to South Africa and for the first time in 22 years, the United Kingdom.
