WINNERS: UB Honors of The Decade

You can now vote for UrbanBridgez.com‘s annual UB Honors, honoring the best of the year in urban music! However this year, being that we are coming to the close of a decade, the voting is for the entire decade.

Votes are submitted and winners determined by our sites visitors! The deadline for voting is December 31st and the winners will be announced on UrbanBridgez.com January 3rd, 2020.

Chris Brown and Drake lead with 8 nominations each. Nicki Minaj follows close behind with 7 nominations. While Beyonce’, Lil Wayne, Big Sean and Trey Songz all garnered five nods.

The nominations were selected from the last 10 years of UB Honors. From the nominations to the winners, we combined a list of what was the most popular on UB.

We’ve seen artists like Big Sean, SZA, Cardi B and Jacquees debut within this decade. While artist like Mary J. Blige, SWV, Toni Braxton and Tank have continued to garner success as well.

This years nominations represents a decade that gave us some incredible music and at times some classics. Songs like “Look At Me Now,” “Motivation” and “OMG,” kept hot dance R&B in the clubs. While songs like “Pretty Wings,” “Adorn,” and “10 Seconds” kept the heat going on the quiet storm programs.

Hip-Hop collaborations were a huge success in this last decade, with songs like “I’m on One,” “Big Bank” and “Run This Town.” While rappers like Drake, T.I., Lil Wayne and Nicki Minaj kept music on the Billboard charts.

In all there are 16 categories to vote in from Best R&B Artist Female and Male, Favorite Up/Mid-Tempo Single of The Decade to Best Video and Best Producer of the decade and of course Artist of The Decade.
