UB First Listen: John Legend’s “A Million” from the “About Last Night” Soundtrack

Columbia Records will release the About Last Night soundtrack, accompanying the insightful romantic comedy starring Kevin Hart, Michael Ealy, Regina Hall and Joy Bryant. The original motion picture soundtrack, About Last Night, will be released digitally tomorrow February 11th, 2014 with the physical release set for March 4, 2014. About Last Night will be in theatres nationwide on Valentine’s Day, February 14th, 2014.

Among its 14 tracks, About Last Night will premiere two never-before-heard songs, one being “A Million” by John Legend (Frank Romano, Isaac John De Boni, Michael John Mule, James Scheffer, John Stephens, Angelique Cinelu) and UrbanBridgez.com is giving you your first listen today (listen above).

The other new track “Luckiest Man” is by Mishon featuring Problem, as well as the upbeat single “Undressed” by emerging artist Kim Cesarion. The soundtrack also includes stand-out tracks such as John Legend‘s power ballad “This Time,” Gary Clark, Jr.’s GRAMMY® Award winning “Please Come Home,” and James Brown‘s funk song “Get Up (I Feel Like Being A Sex Machine)“.

In the Screen Gems romantic comedy About Last Night – arriving just in time to become the latest Valentine’s Day movie classic — four Los Angeles singles get a thorough workout in the ups and downs of today’s dating world. On yet another night of playing wingman to his loud-mouthed best friend Bernie (Kevin Hart), kind-eyed Danny (Michael Ealy) meets Debbie (Joy Bryant), a beautiful, smart and successful woman who is as skittish about relationships as he is. When the chemistry proves to be undeniable, they end up falling into bed together that night …then another night, and another night.

Against the advice and warnings of Bernie, not to mention Debbie’s precocious bestie Joan (Regina Hall), Dan and Debbie make an attempt to navigate life as a couple. What these starry-eyed lovers soon find is that despite their good intentions and genuine feelings for each other, what started out as a casual and intoxicating intimacy quickly falls prey to the usual trappings of togetherness and monogamy.
