Men and women of all shapes, sizes and ages can
become promotional models as long as they possess the look that suits the products or brands they are endorsing.
After landing his first campaign, there was no doubt that Miguel Perdomo was ready to focus and take the modeling industry seriously. He immediately landed the COOGI Jeans campaign for their Spring and Fall collection. It followed by the nationwide campaign of AZZURE’ Denim, which allowed for Miguel to start becoming a familiar face in the pages of national publications and billboards abroad.
He served as one of the faces for the Fall/winter 2008/2009 Moet Hennessy campaign, in which allowed him to represent MOET Hennessy all over the world. Miguel has appeared on BET, BET J, MTV, VH-1, The Tyra Banks Show and The Wendy Williams Show, just to name a few. This past October, Miguel served as the face of the 2009 Virgin Islands Fashion Week.
In this exclusive interview with UrbanBridgez.com, as apart of our anniversary interview series! Miguel Perdomo talked to Aries about his modeling, music, community work, Diddy and much more!

UrbanBridgez.com: I saw you on I Wanna Work for Diddy last week, as a Sean John Model how is it to work for Diddy?
Miguel Perdomo: Working for Diddy is great, he’s a great business man. I love working for Sean John and you guys seeing it at least you can see the behind the scenes part of my job. Because people think it’s an easy job, when it’s really not.
UrbanBridgez.com: You just received a Man of Style award, tell me about that?
Miguel Perdomo: I’m honored that I received such an award. And the best part is that I got it on my birthday, so what better gift. I feel overwhelmed by them honoring me.
UrbanBridgez.com: First Male Dominican supermodel, is there any pressure that comes along with that?
Miguel Perdomo: Being the first male Dominican model has its perks, but I also feel heat from other Latino models that are on the come up but I’m not worried about them I’m comfortable with who I am and what I represent. They’re always on Twitter saying they’re going to take my title (laughs).
UrbanBridgez.com: What’s been the best thing about being a model considering modeling was something you didn’t plan on doing?
Miguel Perdomo: The best thing of modeling is that I don’t have to spend money on clothes any more, thank god! But I’m a sneaker head so I would rather go broke spending money on tennis shoes…no not Jordan’s either like everyone else (laughs).
UrbanBridgez.com: Do you think music and modeling play a part in each other, if so how so?
Miguel Perdomo: Music and modeling are two art forms so I definitely think they go hand in hand. For the most part models are always used in music videos as well, so they play a role in each other.
UrbanBridgez.com: Who are some of your favorite recording artist at the moment?
Miguel Perdomo: Drake definitely is one of my favorites. And Trey Songz, I’m always sending him shouts on Twitter.
UrbanBridgez.com: Tell me about some of the community work you’re involved in?
Miguel Perdomo: As far as the community work, I do alot for Paterson, I speak to all the local high schools including the one I went to, which was Eastside high school. I love being their role model, just because I can relate to them and I’m young as well. I also help out with the DR Hurricane Relief, I send clothes, sneakers, canned food, etc. every month to DR so definitely love that!
UrbanBridgez.com: What’s next for you?
Miguel Perdomo: I’m going to start acting now, that’s my next move and also continue in the modeling world.
UrbanBridgez.com: Any last words for your fans?
Miguel Perdomo: To all my fans, thank you so much for following me and supporting my dreams! Also follow me on Twitter, on Facebook (Miguel Perdomo) and also MySpace.
