BET has announced the premiere date and debuted the official trailer for the new original comedy series “Lot Patrol,” from creators Manny Halley and Ernest L. Dancy.
The series will premiere on BET on June 30th at 10 pm ET / 9 pm CT.
“Lot Patrol” follows a mismatched squad of eccentric security guards as they patrol the chaotic backlot of a major Hollywood studio, wrangling unhinged actors, rogue crew members, and their own wildly dysfunctional personal lives.
Shot in a sharp-witted mockumentary style, the series blends absurd encounters, razor-sharp humor, and unexpectedly heartfelt moments, as it pulls back the curtain on the entertainment industry through the eyes of the people barely holding it together.
The ensemble comedy cast features DeRay Davis, Carl Payne, Tamera Kissen, Darius McCrary, and comedians Skeet Carter, TK Kirkland, Alex Thomas, and Tanjareen Thomas.
“LOT PATROL” is created, written, and produced by Manny Halley and Ernest L. Dancy in collaboration with Manny Halley Productions, a division of Imani Media Group.
Erik White serves as director.
Lot Patrol” is one of several series featured in Family Fun Night on BET, a curated weekly comedy destination built around one simple promise: one night, all kinds of funny.
Bringing together fan-favorite talent, familiar hits, and bold comedic voices, the lineup delivers a full spectrum of comedy, from easy, feel-good laughs to sharper late-night edge, giving viewers one place to unwind and laugh every Tuesday beginning June 30th.
