Actress, model, and creative powerhouse Nzinga Imani has added another credit to her career as a singer with the release of her debut single, “Drown.”

Widely recognized for her role as Angela on BET+’s “Zatima” and “Tyler Perry’s Sistas,” Nzinga is introducing fans to a new side of her with release of the official music video to the sultry, Afrobeats inspired track.

The video further showcasing the beauty, talent and drive of Nzinga Imani.

Timed to celebrate her both birthday and Valentine’s Day this week, the music video for “Drown” is vibrant and seductive, mirroring the song’s intoxicating rhythm and sensual lyrics.

Directed by GawdsVision, the video offers striking visuals and a standout dance sequence choreographed by Diddi Emah, reinforcing Nzinga‘s presence as a true performer.

Already established as a rising force in fashion as both a model and founder of Nimani, Nzinga’s foray into the music industry is a natural expansion of her creativity.

With a full-length EP slated for release later this year, “Drown” is the beginning of a bold new chapter for Nzinga, with her sights set on the charts.

UB spoke to Nzinga last year and she told us then what type of music she was working on; “It’s gonna be different, it’s going to be a mixture of genres. I’m not going to limit myself to one genre. I’m gonna go with what feels good and what music feels good. Might be a little country, a little afro-beats, it might be a little R&B. So just exploring every talent, that God has blessed me with and seeing where it goes.”
