UB Spotlight: ‘Christmas Everyday’ Cast Talk Lifetime Film

The holiday film “Christmas Everyday” Premieres November 29th at 8pm ET. on Lifetime.

Last night UB attended the premiere of “Christmas Everyday” in Los Angeles, California.

Starring Brandy Norwood, Sy’rai Smith, Debbi Morgan and Robert C Riley.

After going to three stops of “The Boy Is Mine” tour in four days (LA, Vegas and then back to LA), attending the premiere for UB of the Lifetime movie “Christmas Everyday” starring Brandy Norwood and her daughter Sy’Rai Smith was the perfect way to wrap up the surreal experience.

Screened on the Fox Lot Little Theater, and attended by actress Amber Riley, Ms. Boom Kack herself Laurieann Gibson (responsible for the incredible TBIM choreography) and YouTuber Terrel Grice, to name a few, along with some of the cast.

The most magical time of the year is also one of the most stressful.

That couldn’t be more true for fashion designer Fancy (Brandy), who finds herself having to navigate a grieving mother (Debbi Morgan).

Who’s dealing with both the loss of her husband and her eyesight.

Plus an absentee boyfriend (Lamman Rucker), family home repairs (enter contractor charming played by Robert C. Riley), work rival (Jeffrey Bowyer-Chapman) and bridezilla baby sister Belle (Sy’Rai).

Amid the chaos, Fancy learns to choose herself and uncovers the true meaning of Christmas.

The film actually has the real-life mother-daughter duo playing sisters.

For fans who’ve embraced Sy’Rai before she was even born (she was in her famous mom’s belly while recording the iconic “Full Moon” album, which would earn the R&B songstress the esteemed “Vocal Bible” moniker), this may seem like a wild concept.

But Sy’Rai’s acting chops in her debut project immediately takes you out of it.

She’s 23 now and quite honestly, she and Brandy could pass for sisters.

All in all, Brandy continues to proudly wear her singer-slash-actress title, Sy’Rai shows a ton of promise and Debbi Morgan delivers like the legend she is.

At the premiere, UB asked Sy’Rai what it felt like working side-by-side with her mother Brandy; “It was nerve wrecking, because mom has been acting forever. And I just didn’t want to disappoint her, but she was really supportive. So yeah, I loved every moment of it. We had fun, a lot of fun!”
