Emerging 2BYG Drop ‘Wassup’ Visual with Anticipated EP

Taking the spotlight on their own terms, rising Texas R&B group 2BYG have shared their anxiously awaited debut EP, “The Yearbook,” via Waystar Records/Def Jam Recordings.

Teeming with youthful energy, the six-track body of work showcases the scope of their sound.
“Oh Yeah” pops off, ignited by the four-piece’s vocal fireworks, highlighting their inimitable interplay front and center.

It culminates in a confident chorus, “Baby, can I blow your mind?” Elsewhere, synths hum on “Someone Like You” until the boys cut right to the chase with a clear question, “What can I do to get close to someone like you?” The finale “Wassup” revolves around their distinct harmonies as a lovestruck refrain takes hold, “The only thing I want is you.”
Taking it back and looking ahead at the same time, “The Yearbook” channels classic R&B, while it also cements 2BYG as key players in the genre’s future with limitless potential.

They paved the way for The Yearbook with “Twin.” Gaining steam on DSPs. Plus, the project includes “Anything,” which has generated 250K-plus Spotify streams and received critical praise.
2BYG made their proper introduction with debut single “Karma” written by Grammy Award-winning songwriter Talay Riley. Beyond picking up traction on DSPs, it incited widespread acclaim. VIBE raved, “The record merges old-school R&B with vibrant Gen Z aura and has us in a chokehold.”
The quartet—Matt Brown, Tourè, Nixx, and KD —have taken flight out of Dallas-Fort Worth and achieved “Up Next” status for R&B.
