Strike Back Studios have announced that they have acquired North American rights to the 7-on-7 football documentary “Trillion Boys.”

Directed by A.J. Callens, the film stars USC wide receiver DJ Jordan, USC quarterback Jack Stupin and Trillion Boys 7-on-7 team co-founder Josh Stupin and coach Chris Hawkins.

The film is available now to stream digitally and UB has an Exclusive Preview!

Trillion Boys” is produced by Jesse Murphy of Jesse James Films and Alex Levine of LevineFilms.

7-on-7 football is the fastest-growing, no-pads, high-speed showcase for skill players—and with high school athletes now eligible for NIL (Name, Image, Likeness) deals, it’s more relevant than ever for the next generation of stars.

The film follows Los Angeles natives DJ Jordan (now a wide receiver at USC) and Josh & Jack Stupin (OC residents and founders of the LA-based and nationally renowned Trillion Boys 7-on-7 team) as they pursue their dreams in the Overtime football league.

Through their journey, the doc explores the rise of 7-on-7 football, the culture of gridiron obsession in Los Angeles, and the new NIL landscape reshaping high school sports.

The deal was negotiated by Noor Ahmed on behalf of Strike Back Studios, and by Jesse Murphy on behalf of the filmmakers.

Noor Ahmed, President of Strike Back Studios states; “Everyone here are huge football fans and felt what the Trillion Boys team has been doing are on the cutting edge of what the future of football is going to look like. We are thrilled to showcase them and their league to audiences who we know will instantly be hooked at the next generation of football talent showcased in the documentary.

When we first discovered the Overtime football league and the Trillion Boys team, we were immediately captivated. As lifelong football fans, this introduced us to an entirely new side of the game—one with a level of talent and a passionate fanbase that much of the world has yet to fully recognize. Over the past year, we followed Josh Stupin, Jack Stupin, DJ Jordan, and C-Hawk as they chased goals, faced challenges, and leaned on one another. Their dedication and passion gave us a deeper appreciation for the unique pressures and opportunities 4- and 5-star athletes navigate—and the support systems that carry them. We can’t help but cheer them on and are grateful to share their stories,” stated Jesse Murphy and Alex Levine.

Alex Callens | Director Statement

When I was first approached about Trillion Boys, my plan was simple: I was just going to edit. Sit quietly in the background, shape the story in the cutting room, and call it a day. But the more time I spent with the footage, the more I realized there was something bigger—something that deserved to be nurtured and told with intention. What began as a technical role quickly became an emotional calling, pulling me into the director’s chair almost before I realized it. Suddenly, I wasn’t just cutting together a film—I was helping guide a story about ambition, mentorship, and resilience, one that asked me to look deeper at what it means to chase a dream.

From the very beginning, I was struck by the vision of Josh and Jack—two young men with the audacity to build a football team from scratch while still in school. Who does that? And yet, there they were, determined to create something that could launch players into the their college careers and possibly the NFL. That kind of bold ambition, especially in youth sports, is rare- and cinematic. I was eager to tell their story of drive, and their bold pursuit of success.

But what truly gave the film its emotional center was DJ. He’s the kind of athlete you can’t take your eyes off on the field—gifted, explosive, almost destined. And yet, his story off the field is what stayed with me most. His personal challenges, his persistence in the face of obstacles, and his ability to keep showing up day after day gave the film a heartbeat. DJ’s journey transformed Trillion Boys into something beyond sports—it became a window into the fragile but powerful intersection of talent, circumstance, and willpower.

For me, this film isn’t just about football—it’s about belief. Belief in yourself, in your teammates, and in the idea that even the most improbable dreams are worth chasing. It’s about what happens when you refuse to let failures, set backs or circumstances define you, and instead lean into possibility. There’s humor in that struggle, too—the small, human moments that remind us ambition doesn’t always come neatly packaged. Sometimes it looks messy, hopeful, and a little reckless—and that’s exactly what makes it beautiful.

With Trillion Boys, I wanted to capture that mixture: the drive, the doubt, the laughter, and the heartbreak that come with trying to do something extraordinary. My hope is that audiences walk away not just inspired by Josh, Jack, C-Hawk and DJ, but reminded of their own capacity to dream bigger, to risk more, and to keep going when the world tells them “no.” Because if there’s anything this story taught me, it’s that belief—no matter how improbable—has the power to change lives.
