We TV and ALLBLK have announced Audrey Lakel of Atlanta, GA as the winner of the hit music competition series “Deb’s House.”

After weeks of intense vocal challenges, unforgettable performances and personalized coaching from renowned music mogul Deb Antney, Lakel triumphed in the season finale, which premiered tonight Friday, October 10th at 9:00 PM ET/PT on We TV.

As the granddaughter of R&B icon Loleatta Holloway, Audrey Lakel hails from a family steeped in music history.

While she has actively pursued a professional career as a paralegal with law school aspirations, the Atlanta native entered Deb’s House with a renewed sense of commitment to her true passion: singing.

Determined to step out from the shadow of her older sister Nia, who was also a TikTok finalist for “Deb’s House,” Audrey’s blend of hard work, powerhouse vocals and authenticity carried her to the top of the competition.

Winning Deb’s House was one of the most memorable moments of my life. I will never forget how my journey in entertainment started, because of this experience. I’ll be forever grateful for Deb, Sherae, We TV, and everyone else who participated in this incredible season. This is just the beginning for me.

This season was tough. The growth, sisterhood, and heart these women poured into every moment made choosing a winner nearly impossible,” states Deb Antney. “I’m proud of all of them. But Audrey pushed herself, she evolved, and she showed me she was ready to rise. I see the artist in her, and I see the future of R&B.

Aries from UB caught up with Ms. Deb and Audrey Lakel this week, to discuss the finale of “Deb’s House.

Ms. Deb shares what it was about Audrey, that made her select her as the winner.

Audrey tells us the most difficult part, about staying in “Deb’s House.

While Ms. Deb shares why it was important for her to focus on R&B this season,

Because we need love back in the air. You know, I’m definitely tired of hearing how wet people are, I’m sick of it. I’m sick of hearing about urinary tract infections. Too much! We need some love. We need to put that love back in the air. Now we need something else. We need to show them something else to do.

Audrey tells UB when she discovered her gift for songwriting.

When I was a young girl, like, literally 8, 9, years old, I used to write songs all the time, so many, many years I’ve been writing songs and little things. I have a phone full of voice notes and recordings that, if I’m just driving and something comes to my head, I sing it in my phone. Notes and notes and notes full of lyrics, so love writing music.

Plus the ladies share their goals moving forward and much more!
