A new episode of the female-led music competition series “Deb’s House” premiered tonight August 29th at 9:30pm ET/PT on We TV, ALLBLK and AMC+.

This season, Ms. Deb will be backed by an all-star lineup of famed artists who know what it takes to make it to the top.

Stepping in to share their wisdom, tough love, and game-changing industry insight are:

Waka Flocka Flame, rapper and entrepreneur bringing his no-nonsense industry perspective.
LeLee Lyons, founding member of the legendary R&B group SWV and champion of women in music.
Keke Wyatt, the platinum-selling vocal powerhouse known for her raw talent and unforgettable runs.

Each guest judge will mentor and evaluate the aspiring vocalists moving into Deb’s House, helping Ms. Deb put them through the paces as they compete for a once-in-a-lifetime shot to become her next R&B protégé.

On tonight‘s episode entitled “Blank Canvas,” Deb tests 9 singers’ endurance with vocal coaches Brandon Barnes and Regina Love.

After revealing past traumas, Deb assigns beats and music journals for their first song challenge.

When rumors trigger a meltdown, Deb decides to send a singer home.

Season 2 promises more soul, more pressure and more growth as these rising stars face vocal challenges, emotional breakthroughs and intense eliminations all under the watchful eyes of music royalty.

On next weeks episode, entitled “On the Spectrum” – Friday, September 5th at 9:30pm ET/PT on We TV, ALLBLK and AMC+; After a vocalist reveals a secret Deb introduces studio time with producer Cisco but when 8 vocalists divide the house, Deb gets to the bottom of the rumors.

Staying focused on the music Deb sends 2 vocalists home and surprises 1 with the golden mic.

Meet The Contestants

AJ – 23, Kings Mountain, NC AJ proudly embraces her identity as a masculine, tattooed lesbian, often surprising people with her soft and melodic voice. After years of burying memories of a challenging childhood, AJ has redirected her energy and focus back to her music. She’s healing by connecting with her fans daily through live performances on TikTok, where she showcases her talent. Writing and producing allow AJ to stay committed to her craft while she continues performing at live sessions for her audience, letting her music speak louder than any distractions.

Audrey – 28, Atlanta, GA Audrey comes from a family with a strong musical legacy. Her grandmother is the legendary Loleatta Holloway. Instead of relying on her talent, Audrey is career minded working as a paralegal and values education with law school on her mind. Her more accomplished older sister Nia was also a finalist from the Deb’s House TikTok auditions. Prepared to step out of the shadows of her sister, Audrey is determined to focus on her music career and carve out her own legacy in the industry.

Ashleigh-Salate (Ashleigh) – 32, Durham, NC Ashleigh-Salate is celebrating one year of being cancer-free, a milestone that marks her incredible resilience. Having faced breast cancer at 30, her diagnosis coincided with coming out as a lesbian, a transformative moment that reshaped her identity and outlook on life. She emerged from this struggle with newfound strength and purpose. Now navigating her roles as a mother and girlfriend, while pursuing a career in music, she’s embracing a more patient, grounded version of herself while overcoming insecurities about her femininity and image.

Dacia – 29, Baltimore, MD Dacia spends her days pursuing her music dreams and her nights working in clubs. She has loved performing since childhood and attended a performing arts school in Baltimore, the same one where Jada Pinkett Smith and Tupac Shakur studied. Dacia moved to Atlanta to advance her career. Without formal management, she works as a bottle girl and lash technician to support her goals. Each night at the club helps her connect with people who can assist her in breaking into Atlanta’s music scene—all while staying true to what matters most.

Devin – 31, San Diego, CA A biracial songstress, Devin blends her Louisiana-Creole heritage with a laid-back California vibe. Reflecting on her upbringing, Devin has fond memories of growing up in the church. At just 16, Devin auditioned for American Idol, but her experience took a challenging turn when she faced homelessness. Devin’s musical style and energy are often likened to the soulful vibe of Snoh Aalegra.

Kimberly – 45, Greenville, NC With maturity comes wisdom. When Kimberly is asked why she is auditioning for an R&B competition instead of pursuing Gospel, where her vocal strengths truly lie, she confidently responds, “I can sing anything.” Her voice has a classic soul quality reminiscent of the past. People often find comfort in her singing; it has the power to move listeners to tears. During her audition, she claims to have made Ms. Deb shed a few tears. Musically, Kimberly has opened for artists such as Faith Evans, Tank, and many more.

Lucy Luv (Lucy) – 31, Holly Grove, AR Now a music teacher, Lucy Luv overcame illiteracy, learning to read and understand math at 18 years old. A single mother of two, she competed on American Idol Season 21, reaching the Top 12. She claims her musical pen is her strongest quality and takes pride in her ability to freestyle R&B songs effortlessly. She wants to bring back real storytelling in R&B music.

Preti Royal (Tara E.) – 39, Canton, OH Tara E. (Preti Royal) has been singing since she was two. Life has thrown its hardest challenges at Preti Royal, with the tragic loss of her mother and fiancé in the same year, all while she was pregnant. Music became her lifeline during a 10-year battle with addiction. Preti Royal’s raw talent has earned her recognition, including an appearance on Dorinda Clark Cole’s TV show and praise from Keke Wyatt, who said, “She can sing for real.”

Raw Canne (Amber) – 33, South Central Los Angeles, CA Amber (Raw Canne) is inspired by the sounds of the 1950s. Her high-functioning autism makes music her sanctuary, helping her express emotions that would otherwise remain bottled up. Despite facing bullying for her weight and quirks, Amber’s strength lies in her distinct voice and her refusal to conform. She blends vintage inspiration with her own unique style, and music is everything to her—it’s the only thing she has consistently excelled at. Her quirky charisma and distinctive sound make her an unforgettable presence.

T’Amour (Tara A.) – 37, Bridgeport, CT Tara A. is a self-proclaimed product of love. Growing up, Tara A. experienced parents who poured into each other and even more into her, their “baby.” Tara A. is bold and expressive; she recently developed tension alopecia and decided to go against the industry “beauty standard” and shave her head. Now, as an ambassador for bald black women across the country, she feels like it’s her job to make her new look stand out. Musically, Tara A. is dedicated to showing her parents that the love and support they’ve poured into her singing career is worth it.
