Webby award-winning podcast hosts, New York Times bestselling authors, and power couple and one of our favorites, Devale and Khadeen Ellis, announce “Ellis Ever After.

After 15 seasons of their incredibly successful podcast, which has SOLD OUT shows in every major city, and featured episodes with high-profile guest stars the likes of former President Joe Biden, Regina Hall, Sherri Shepherd, and Sterling K. Brown, among others, the college-sweethearts turned entertainment powerhouses announced today that the podcast is relaunching with a new look, format, and name, “Ellis Ever After.”

Premiering Wednesday April 16th, the new podcast will continue to follow the couple, while acknowledging the evolution of them as podcast hosts, actors, and parents.

Ellis Ever After will bring what fans of Dead Ass with Khadeen and Devale appreciate about how these two people are willing to tell the hard truths about the state of the world and current events, with a sense of love, life, laughter and levity. Devale and Khadeen will explore pressing topics each week with deeper conversations, bigger celebrity guests, and an all new hosting format that will engage audiences during each week’s episode with the inclusion of permanent guest hosts from the original Dead Ass team- Tribble, Josh Dwain and Matt Ellis.

“We are so grateful to every listener, subscriber and supporter that has been part of our Dead Ass family. You have continued to allow us to evolve and reach for new heights as a family, and we are so excited to embark on this new chapter together,” said Devale and Khadeen Ellis. “Don’t worry – Ellis Ever After will still have all the Dead Ass elements you know and love, but will allow us to dig even deeper into the topics that are on our hearts and minds as we continue to grow as people and as parents.”

Where past episodes of the Dead Ass with Khadeen and Devale may have approached topics with a ‘her versus him’ tone, this new format will be even more intentional, personal and will explore sides of the Ellises that audiences have never seen before. It’s not about stardom, fame or fortune – but the bigger existential question: how can we ultimately become the best versions of ourselves for our kids?

Dead Ass with Khadeen and Devale launched in 2019 and quickly became a fan-favorite podcast, averaging 150,000 downloads per episode. Over the years, Khadeen and Devale have been joined by a variety of high-profile guest stars and prominent thought leaders across entertainment, politics, and culture including former President Joe Biden, Regina Hall, Sherri Shepherd, Shan Boodram, and Sterling K. Brown among others. They’ve taken their podcast on a nationwide tour, selling out every show in major cities like NYC, Philadelphia, DC, Houston, Dallas, Los Angeles, Detroit, Chicago, and Atlanta.

Outside of the podcast, Devale and Khadeen are co-producers for the Broadway production of “Othello,” starring Denzel Washington and Jake Gyllenhaal, which just broke the record for top-grossing play in Broadway history. Devale starred as the lead in the #1 Netflix movie “Meet Me Next Christmas” alongside Christina Milian and the acapella group, Pentatonix.

On the TV side, Devale currently stars in his very own #1 BET+ spinoff, “Zatima,” and “Tyler Perry’s Sistas” on BET. As an actress, Khadeen has appeared on Tyler Perry’s BRUH, Will Packer’s BIGGER, with more television projects premiering in 2025.

Together, they co-authored the New York Times bestselling relationship book, “We Over Me: The Counterintuitive Approach to Getting Everything You Want from Your Relationship“, and created The Ellises social sitcom on YouTube and Facebook.

They’ve been married for 14 years and have four sons: Jackson, Kairo, Kaz and Dakota.
