The UB Interview: Matt Cedeño, Blue Kimble + Colin McCalla Talk ‘Ruthless’

Season five of the BET+ Original series premieres with three episodes. With one episode weekly, leading up to the season finale on Thursday, April 24th.

UB recently spoke to the cast, about the second half of Season 5.

In Part 1, of our two-part feature, we speak with Matt Cedeño, Blue Kimble and Colin McCalla.

Season five of Ruthless reaches the peak of destruction and mayhem as blood is shed on both sides of the compound.

Alliances will crumble, trust will be nonexistent, and the innocent will be punished.

Who will be left standing when the dust settles?

Matt Cedeño as “The Highest”

Born in Moses Lake, Washington, Cedeño‘s early acting credits include the sports drama film “Price of Glory” (2000) and the daytime soap opera “Days of Our Lives.”

The Highest is the leader and creator of the cult the Rakudushis. A former prison inmate, he decided to start a new religion once he was released from prison. He’s charming but can also be dangerously manipulative.

Colin McCalla as “River”

Growing up in Queens, Colin was immersed in the cultural tapestry of New York City. He developed an early interest in acting and started acting in local theater productions, where he honed his acting skills.

In Ruthless, River is the smart law school graduate responsible for recruiting young people to the Rakadushis cult.

Blue Kimble as “Andrew”

Blue Kimble was born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia. Originally a football player, Blue played in the Arena Football League and the NFL with the Buffalo Bills. He turned to acting after an injury put a premature end to his football career.

Andrew is a former FBI Agent. He was sent to work undercover to investigate the Rakudushis, an extremist cult.
