Chart-topping, multi-platinum artist, actress and New York Times Best Selling author, Joanna JoJoLevesque has released hew new highly anticipated EP entitled “NGL” via BMG.

The new music echoes many of the themes covered in her memoir “Over The Influence.” From being raised by parents who were both battling addiction and depression to emerging victorious in a never-ending lawsuit with her record label.

Over The Influence” chronicles the steps JoJo took to rebuild. At the end of the memoir, we find JoJo stronger than ever, as she proudly proclaims on previously released singles “Porcelain” and ”Too Much To Say.” Both the book and the EP are a testament to her resilience and a celebration of her ability to overcome adversity.

In support of the new EP, JoJo is set to embark on an extensive run of headline North American dates next month. Kicking off on February 22nd, the “Too Much To Say Tour” includes Minneapolis on March 14th at the historic First Ave.

NGL” is nothing short of brilliant! The intro “off again” showcases JoJo‘s amazing vocal stacking harmonies. The only complaint is it’s not a full song! The tease of it is in reminiscent of classic R&B interludes, that fans wished were full songs (i.e. Faith Evans – “Tears Away” and Brandy’s – “I Dedicate”).

The tune brings immediate eagerness for the rest of the EP.

JoJo returns back to her roots with this new EP, on songs like “Ready To Love” which is easily one of the best arranged tracks on the EP. With a new visual and all, some kind of perfection. With the beauty shots, chorography and cinematic feels.

Nobody” is such a vibe! While “Porcelain Reimagined” has a beautiful arrangement, laid softly by piano under JoJo‘s distinctive vocals.

The “Start Over” tempo, will mesmerize listeners from the start. Followed by JoJo‘s silky vocals, as she sings “But sometimes I wish that we could go back in time. And see our mistakes, before we said our goodbyes. And start over.

One thing JoJo is going to do is sing! We will always hold her up to other white women artists with voices of deep ivory soul. Such as the late great Teena Maria, Joss Stone, and Lisa Keith.

On “NGLJoJo stays true to form, as the artist she has been from the gate!

A beautiful, strong vocalist with a sick pen and pronounced stage presence.

Our history with JoJo goes back to the start. We spoke to the emerging artist months before her debut album was released in 2004.

JoJo, was like no other artists before her.
