Jagged Edge Release ‘Just Might Get It’ + Announce New Album & Tour
New Album "All Original Parts Vol. 1," Available Valentines Day.
Our boys, Grammy Award winning R&B icons Jagged Edge have released their new single, “Just Might Get It” via HardCase Music, LLC and distributed by United Masters.
The track exemplifies JE’s knack for blending soulful melodies with relatable storytelling. Written and produced by founding members Brandon and Brian Casey, the single is a vibrant prelude to their upcoming album and tour, both of which celebrate their enduring legacy while highlighting their relevance in today’s music landscape.
“The beautiful thing about “Just Might Get It” is how a single title can inspire entirely different perspectives,” states Brian Casey. “Brandon’s writing captures this perfectly. His take is telling the girl, ‘You keep asking for my time, and I’m giving it to you—now, what are you going to do with it? Be careful what you ask for, you might just get it.’ Meanwhile, my perspective shifts to the aftermath: ‘You’ve said you want this to end, but I don’t, and now I’m telling you—be careful what you wish for, you might actually get it.’ It’s incredible how we’re using the same title but interpreting it in such distinct ways. That’s the magic of working with him—listening to the same thing and finding completely different meanings.”
On January 31st fans will be granted early access to the highly anticipated “All Original Parts Vol. 1” album with the direct-to-consumer purchase on EVEN.BIZ which gives them the ability to listen to the music before it’s available on streaming platforms.
Just in time for Valentines Day on February 14th “All Original Parts Vol. 1” will be available on DSP‘s distributed through United Masters. The group’s 11th studio project, inspired by themes of love, resilience, and personal growth, reflects JE’s evolution while staying true to the sound that has made them one of the most celebrated acts in R&B. With songs crafted by the Casey brothers, “All Original Parts Vol. 1” serves as a testament to Jagged Edge’s ability to deliver music that resonates across generations.
UB has spoken to the fellas numerous times over the years, in 2011 we asked JE what keeps them togetherwhen so many groups don’t make it to a 3rd album, let alone a 7th together with all original members? “The love for what we do! We love music & we love each other. We’ve been together before the music happened and we’ll be together when the music is over. At the end of the day we always planned to be that group! I mean we came up and wanted to be around like The O’Jays and groups who have been together 20 and 30 years. We plan to do that by keep making good music for your guys for years to come,” stated Kyle of Jagged Edge.
