A powerful new award-winning independent film is set to premiere on Prime Video and Apple TV on November 15th.

I’ll Be There” is an emotional drama features stellar performances by Jasmine Batchelor and Ryan Cooper, and offers a poignant exploration of family dynamics, love, and loss.

I’ll Be There” follows Grace (played by Jasmine Batchelor), the youngest in a blended family, who reconnects with her estranged siblings after her older brother AJ is diagnosed with cancer. Set against the backdrop of Michael Jackson’s death in Los Angeles, the film unpacks deep family secrets and how cultural moments affect personal lives in profound ways.

The award-winning independent drama “I’ll Be There,” also stars Dorien Wilson, Victoria Kelleher and Celestina Harris.

Written by Cindy McCreery and directed by Andrew Shea, both esteemed professors at the University of Texas, the film offers a deeply moving exploration of family, memory, and reconciliation.

As the family gathers during the days following Michael Jackson‘s death, Grace must navigate her complicated relationships and find healing amidst the pain.

Michael Jackson’s death, a defining moment for the siblings in their youth, serves as a poignant backdrop to the film. As the King of Pop’s passing stirs up memories and emotions, Grace‘s journey becomes one of confronting the past and understanding the true meaning of family.

The film also stars Dorien Wilson as Clint, the father figure who struggles to hold the family together, and Victoria Kelleher as Felicia, the matriarch grappling with her own regrets.

I’ll Be There” premiered at the Austin Film Festival, where it won an audience award. The film also won the Best Narrative Feature and Best Actress awards (for Jasmine Batchelor) at the Santa Clarita International Film Festival. It features an original score by Stephen Trask and music by singer/songwriter Shameka Dwight.
