Starring Anissa LaShay, Julian Horton, Kadeem Isaiah, Alisha S. Ward, and Ashanti Harris, the Daytime Emmy Award-nominated “Tough Love” series was created by the visionary husband and wife creative team, Roni and Caleb Davis.

Ashanti Harris, Anissa LaShay, Kadeem Isaiah, Leslie Sheri and DaSan Frazier recently spoke with Shai from UB about season two of “Tough Love: Atlanta.

They tell us about their characters and what we can expect this season.

Anissa shares what she enjoys most about filming the series, while DaSan speaks on the messages in the story this season.

Anissa LaShay (Jackie)
Anissa LaShay takes over the role of “Jackie” for the series second season. An actor and producer, LaShay is known for her roles in “Auntie’s Dearest,” “Two’s A Couple, Three’s A Crowd” and “About Him: The Other Side.”

Julian Horton (Drew)
Born in Philadelphia, but raised in Atlanta, GA, Julian Horton is a multi-hyphenate figure who has found success in sports, music, and in film and television. Working with JK Simmons and Uzo Aduba, Horton can be seen in the STX film, “National Champions” that is available via Netflix. Horton has also recently appeared on BET and Amazon Prime in the movies “Ruined” and “The Re-Education of Molly Singer” and soon to be released Black Spartans alongside Neal McDonough and J. Alphonse Nicholson.

Kadeem Isaiah (Kenny)
Kadeem Isaiah, a native of Atlanta, GA, by way of Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Having a background in musicianship and visual arts has opened his interest in the craft of telling stories. Since his discovery, Kadeem has graced screens worldwide on a national level in episodic television and feature films.

Alisha S. Ward (Lisa)
Alisha Ward grew up in Lagrange Georgia. As a kid She would run around creating imaginary adventures. She has landed roles in various projects, including “Mike” on Hulu, “Finding Happy” on Bounce TV, “How Did I Get Here “on Pureflix, “Forbidden Fruit,” “Read Between the Lines,” “False Advertisement,” “A. Love’s Journey,” “Line Sisters” on Lifetime, “All the Queen’s Men” on BET.

Ashanti Harris (Iesha)
Ashanti Harris is an actress whose magnetic performances have left an indelible mark on the screen. Harris has roles in shows like “A La Carte” on AllBLK, “The Lost Sex Tape” on Tubi, “Finding Happy” on Bounce TV, and “ATL Homicide” on TV One. She’s proven her versatility and acting prowess. In a standout achievement, Harris achieved success by winning the “Shoot Your Shot” showcase at the 2023 American Black Film Festival (ABFF), earning her a leading role alongside Omarion in an upcoming series on ALLBLK.

In addition to Thursdays at 9 p.m. ET on CLEO TV, the latest episodes of “Tough Love: Atlanta” air Tuesdays on TV One.
