UB Spotlight: Jo Koy + Tiffany Haddish Talk ‘Easter Sunday’ | In Theaters Tomorrow

Easter Sunday” is in Theaters Tomorrow August 5th via Universal Pictures.

Stand-up comedy sensation Jo Koy stars as a man returning home for an Easter celebration with his riotous, bickering, eating, drinking, laughing, loving family, in this love letter to his Filipino-American community.

Easter Sunday” features an all-star comedic cast that includes Jimmy O. Yang, Tia Carrere, Brandon Wardell, Tony nominee Eva Noblezada, Lydia Gaston, Asif Ali, Rodney To, Eugene Cordero, Jay Chandrasekhar, Tiffany Haddish and Lou Diamond Phillips.

UB has screened the film and it’s a must-see comedy. Lou Diamond Phillips alone is worth checking “Easter Sunday” out.

The story of this Filipino family will be relatable to anybody who has has a close-knit family. Tiffany Haddish of course adds an element to the film, only Tiffany can bring. Jo and Tiffany have known each other since they were starving comedians, and look at them both now!

Not many films have this kind of representation and it’s so great to see and nobody deserves it more than Jo.

Easter Sunday” is from DreamWorks Pictures and directed by Jay Chandrasekhar, from a script by Ken Cheng and Kate Angelo based on a story by Ken Cheng.
