The UB Interview: Lamont Scales White Talks ‘Love Match Atlanta’

Bravo‘s newest series, “Love Match Atlanta,” Premieres this Sunday May 8th at 10 p.m. ET/PT. Beginning Sunday, May 15th, the one-hour series will move to 9 p.m. ET.

The show gives a glimpse into the personal and professional lives of five of Atlanta’s most elite matchmakers.

Love Match Atlanta” chronicles the competitive and drama-filled social scene of Atlanta’s exclusive matchmaking industry. The cast includes Ming Clark, Joseph Dixon, Kelli Fisher, Tana Gilmore, and Shae Primus.

Each of the matchmakers leverage their charm and skill while competing for the hearts and dollars of Black Atlanta’s most eligible singles. Celebrating and amplifying the importance of Black love, the series follows these matchmakers as they work to connect some of the most eligible bachelors in Atlanta.

These professionals also balance the drama in their own lives as they work to match elite Atlanta singles who are searching for real love.

Love Match Atlanta‘s” Lamont Scales White (otherwise known as the Gay Dating Coach) is the owner of Betterwaytomeet.com, a professional matchmaking, dating coaching, and couples counseling service for gay men in the United States.

Since 2014, Lamont has matched hundreds of single guys and even helped a few guys get married. He’s nationally recognized as a relationship expert for gay men and helping gay men maintain healthy relationships.

Lamont has an undergraduate degree in psychology, graduate degree in Professional Community Counseling, and is a Certified Matchmaker. He lives in Atlanta with his husband and their two nephews.

Unlike some dating coaches and traditional matchmakers, his work is not only informed by his educational background and professional experience but also by his long-term relationship with husband Art White, whom he met the year he founded Better Way To Meet.

Recently Aries from UB spoke with Lamont about the new series “Love Match Atlanta” and what made him want to be apart of it.

He also tells UB exactly what a dating coach is and shares some advice for mental health and more.
