UB Preview: ‘Night Shift’ Starring Lamorne Morris + Phoebe Tonkin

While working her first night shift at a remote motel, a young woman, Gwen Taylor (Phoebe Tonkin), begins to suspect that she is being followed by a dangerous character from her past.
As the night progresses, Gwen’s isolation and safety, however, are made all the more worse when she starts to realize that the motel might also be haunted.
The owner of the motel, Teddy Miles (Lamorne Morris), does little to abate Gwen’s growing concerns, and seems only interested in remodeling and upscaling the rundown property for his financial benefit. After terrifyingly encountering various ghosts, as well as some unruly guests, Gwen seeks solace with Alice (Madison Hu), a teenage runaway staying at the motel, who also believes that the building is haunted.
As the mysterious figure from her past continues to stalk her, Gwen confesses to Alice that this man is a convicted murderer known by the name Walton Grey (Christopher Denham). Walton had killed Gwen’s mother and two sisters during a home invasion years earlier, and now, having escaped prison, has followed Gwen to the motel to finish what he started.
However, when Walton confronts Gwen with a shocking revelation, Gwen is suddenly forced to question all that she knows.
