The Pair Tell Us What Viewers Will Take Away From the Film & More.
“Bringing Back Christmas” is streaming now on Prime, Apple TV and in select theaters.
“Bringing Back Christmas” tells a familiar story of Daniel Reece (Mark Christopher Lawrence), who has just been fired after 17 years of service right before Christmas and prior to an expensive surgery his disabled son desperately needs.
Reminiscent of “It’s A Wonderful Life“, Daniel is visited by a spirited angel (Leigh-Allyn Baker) who takes him on a comedic, albeit life-changing trip back in time to observe the difficulties surrounding Jesus’s parents from their marriage until his birth.
This holiday film is filled with a hilarious cast of characters, including the mother and father-in laws of Mary and Joseph who debate over visits with unborn grandchildren while the soon-to-be parents of the Messiah grapple with the realities of immaculate conception and the lack of lodging for his birth.
Daniel begins to realize parallels between their struggles and his own, and after witnessing the birth of the Savior of the world, he is able to face the future with hope and trust in the plan God has laid before him. This delightful Christmas comedy is perfect for the whole family and invites audiences to rediscover what Christmas is really about.
