Coko’s Yr. Son Jayye Michael | Makes Music Debut with ‘Never Be’
Younger son to one of our favorites Coko, Jayye Michael has released his debut single. The song entitled “Never Be,” is available now.
“It’s my first single choice because it was really apart of my journey to healing. When I recorded the song I felt some weight lifted off of my shoulders. I thought it’d be a piece, everyone could both enjoy and relate to,” Jayye Michael tells UB.
The single is about a former love, where Jayye could never see himself with again. The production, lyrics and vocal arrangements are sick. Vocals and musical talent are all through this kids bones, his father is Coko‘s ex-husband drummer Mike Clemons.

“Never Be” was written by Jayye Michael and produced by Mykal Curtis. His legendary mother Coko also contributed to the single by vocal producing along with Jalen and Eric ‘EWill’ Williams.
Jayye performed in front of thousands live with his mother on Verzuz, SWV vs. Xscape, singing her hit solo single “Sunshine.” “Sunshine” was written about Coko‘s oldest son Jazz, better known as hip hop artist and singer Lil Tracy ..that family just oozes talent!
