The UB Video Interview: Alexis Samone Talks ‘The Wrong Cheer Captain’ and New Music

Alexis Samone is an experienced stage performer and is most known for her role as Lady In Blue and For Colored Girls.

Alexis made her television debut as a performing artist on BET‘s hit show, 106 & Park Top 10 Live.

She decided to delve into film and television acting in 2018, in the role as Earline Le’Day, in Jook Joint Blues. Later in the year, she also began filming for Raised By Kanye, as the role of Niecey.

Tonight, Alexis Samone stars in the Lifetime film “The Wrong Cheer Captain,” at 8PM ET/PT.

Alexis co-stars with Vivica A. Fox and Jackée Harry, in a suspense that starts with a mysteries death. Samone‘s character Kate searches for the truth behind her friends death, she soon becomes a target.

Samone‘s next role is the lead of Tiera Childs in the coming of age film, Influencer.

Along with her acting talent, Alexis Samone is a professional recording artist, songwriter, and pianist, with her first professional gig being a song for a McDonald‘s radio commercial at the age of 16.

Tishelle from UB spoke to the talented young millennial, about her new film “The Wrong Cheer Captain” and she glows, while speaking on her experience working with the great Vivica A. Fox.

Alexis Samone also shares her love for Kerry Washington and talks about how she started working with Lifetime, her early start on stage and her television debut on 106 and Park.
