The UB Video Interview: J. Brown Talks New EP, R&B & Valentine’s

With music firmly in his blood and armed with tunnel-vision focus on following his passion of making music from the heart, J. Brown is here, to deliver a dose of straight-up R&B.

Some of his music is subtle pop and 90s throwback influences – to a music generation largely devoid of truly soulful and impassioned music.

In 2019 J. Brown appeared on “The Ellevation Tour” headlined by the beautiful and talented Grammy-Award winning recording artist, Elle Varner.

Last year, J. Brown celebrated the milestone of landing his 2nd Top 10 Billboard R&B Single with the song “Moon“, lifted from his debut EP, “Forever Yours“.

That marked J. Brown‘s third Top 15 Billboard R&B single in the last two years.

J. Brown is currently putting the finishing touches on his upcoming sophomore EP, due in April via the Mocha Music.

J. Brown talked to Aries of UB this week and discussed his latest single “Vibe.” J. Brown also shares news about his upcoming sophomore EP and tells us what inspires him.

He also gets candid on the state of R&B and speaks about his mothers history with Motown.
