Roc Nation’s versatile, young, powerhouse Angelica Vila, dropped her debut album “Deception SZN 1.” The first studio album from the 21-year-old Bronx-bred R&B Songstress features breakout singles like “More In the Morning” “All I Do is For You” and “Why” featuring Jacquees.
Music took hold of Vila at a young age and she was cultivating her craft at age 10. By 2018, her impressive collection of covers such as DJ Khaled’s “Wild Thoughts” garnered millions of views on YouTube caught the ear of hip hop veteran, Fat Joe. Under his guidance, she landed a deal with Roc Nation Records and dropped the instantly impactful single “More in the Morning” produced by hitmakers Cool & Dre.
Now, she’s taking listeners on a journey through the good, the bad, and the empowering of navigating through love and relationships while remaining poised to put R&B back on everyone’s radar.
“Deception SZN 1” puts Vila’s passion front and center and highlights her impressive vocal range. Her versatility is on full display throughout the project, melding the intensity of trap beats with pop sounds and Latin influences, resulting in a style that’s all her own.
