Olivia Returns with ‘Join Me’ | Returning to ‘Love & Hip Hop’

Olivia has officially returned. The singer/songwriter and former First Lady of G-Unit has returned with her new single entitled “Join Me.”

The song is Produced by HighVolume and is the first single from Olivia’s upcoming EP entitled “Pressure.”

Olivia burst onto the scene in 2001 with her debut single “Bizounce.” Originally the First Lady of J Records. After her stint with G-Unit, Olivia joined the cast of VH1‘s Love & Hip Hop New York in 2011 for the first three seasons.

Now after six seasons later, Olivia is set to make her return to the show in one of the upcoming episodes, for season 10.

Olivia spoke to UrbanBridgez.com in 2010 before the show premiered and told us about her casting;

“It actually hasn’t been named yet, so there is a working title they have going on they’re calling ‘Married to Hip-Hop.’ That’s most likely not going to be the title, so don’t worry about that (laughs). I’m really excited about it, it’s about me and my girlfriends. You’ll see a little of the music, but that’s not what I want to give you. I want everybody to feel like they know me. I felt like I wasn’t open to the public before you know. Being with the Unit I felt like I was just so inaccessible, I just want the world to get to know me. Because I feel like they don’t know who the real Olivia is. So yeah it’s going to be about my life, personal, musically, naturally the stuff I do on a day to day basis with my friends and family. Just different adventures!”

Love & Hip Hop: New York airs Mondays, at 8 p.m. ET/PT on VH1.

As for the new music, Olivia says of the EP;

“This EP is my most transparent project to date. My inspiration is drawn from personal experience where I endured life’s highs and lows, love, loss, and found the strength to rebuild.”

She continued with, “I am back to having fun again with my creative process and it definitely shows in this record. The goal of this project is for my fans and new listeners to connect with and draw strength from lyrics.”

“Join Me” is the first single from Olivia since the 2016 release of the single “Animal Attraction.”
