TJ Jackson Unleashes Mid-Tempo Banger ‘I Don’t Deserve This’

One of our favorites TJ Jackson has released the follow-up to the first single from his upcoming EP. “I Don’t Deserve This” was released today to streaming services. It follows the release of the single “Insomnia” this summer.

The harmony-laden, vibe and texture of this song has a smooth groove and is unabashedly punctuated by catchy throwback 90’s R&B elements but is perfectly layered with a modern and current urban beat. A solid R&B mid-tempo, about coming to the realization that you’re not getting what you deserve in a relationship. As TJ sings;

“I listen to my head and not my heart
Should of paid attention to the signs
I wish I would of seen this other-side”

TJ went to Nashville, Tennessee to record and produce his first solo project with various talented producers. He spent almost a year traveling back and forth between Nashville and Los Angeles and he was able to immerse himself into a new music atmosphere, clear his mind, and create his own masterpieces, some of his greatest work for his new project.

TJ is preparing for a tentative release date of January 2020 for his upcoming EP Obsession“. The video of “I Don’t Deserve This” will be shot in December in the Los Angeles desert. Next week the official lyric video will be released.

INGrooves signed a joint venture with Rio De Rojo Entertainment.

We spoke to TJ recently and asked him what fans can expect from the forthcoming EP; “It’s still going to have that R&B flavor. There are songs that are going to be a little different than Insomnia. But R&B is my roots. It’s what I grew up on, it’s what I love listening to.” He went on to say, “It’s my soul and base for me as an musician and artist. So it’s definitely going to have an R&B vibe. Some up-tempos and all different types of music. I’m excited to share it with the world because I’ve been sitting on it for quite some time. Just making sure it’s something that was strong. Something I would look back on 10 or 20 years later and be proud of. I got a lot to share and I’m super excited for this journey.
