Shanice Announces New Single ‘He Won’t’ | New Album Soon
One of our favorites, Shanice is gearing up for the release of her new album. With the announcement of the albums lead single. The song entitled “He Won’t” (Jovan Dawkins, Candace Wakefield) will be released to streaming services March 15th via Heritage Music Group (HMG)/Universal.
The yet untitled project, will be Shanice‘s six album release and the first since her 2006 album “Every Woman Dreams.”
Shanice made the announcement about the single via Instagram.
We talked to Shanice recently and this is what she told us about the new project:
Shanice: I’m with this company called Heritage Music Group (HMG) through Universal. Originally I signed to do a single deal. Then we went in and started recording and the label got really excited with the music. So now, we’re working on a full album. So it’s coming soon, I hope you guys like it! The (lead) song is called “He Won’t.”
Shanice is also enjoying success with the release of the lead single from Chris Brown‘s upcoming album “Undecided.” The hit song samples Shanice‘s #1 Grammy nominated, 1991 single “I Love Your Smile.”
“I think he did a great job, I love it!” Shanice told UB recently, “I love what he did because it’s current but it still has that old school vibe. I love the melody they put on it, the track is banging. He nailed it, I think it’s so dope.”
