Originally from Canton, Ohio, The O’Jays are one of Philadelphia soul’s most popular and long-lived groups, rivaled only by the Spinners as soul’s greatest vocal group of the ‘70s.

After 60+ years making such international hits as “Back Stabbers,” “For The Love Of Money,” “Darlin’ Darlin’ Baby,” “Love Train,” “I Love Music,” “Use Ta Be My Girl” and “Have You Had Your Love.”

The legendary has group has announced their final album release, “The Last Word.” The album will be released April 19th via SC1/S-Curve Records.

The lead single from the album, “I Got You” is written by Michael Blume and Daniel Edinberg.

It’s almost gospel. It’s good news. Whatever happens, don’t worry about it — I’m gonna be there. That’s a hell of a statement. It works in a friendship; it works certainly in a relationship.
