Manhattan, NY – August 23, 2013 – One of the leading sites in urban music, UrbanBridgez.com is set to launch a new initiative where upcoming and independent artists can submit music and ask questions to Grammy-nominated songwriter/producer/singer Ivan Matias. Songwriter of hits for En Vogue (Don’t Let Go (Love)), SWV (You’re the One), Tracie Spencer (Still In My Heart), Toni Braxton (A Better Man) and Angie Stone (Wish I Didn’t Miss You). UB A.I.R. (Am I Ready), will start August 26th (ubair.urbanbridgez.com) and was the brainchild of Ivan Matias.

“After many requests for advice and direction from artists, writers, producers and managers, I realized the amount of accurate and useful information available is either outdated, incorrectly applied or not within the budget of most,” Matias said. “With UB’s longstanding history of taking a positive and supportive approach with their reviews, interviews and content I felt like this was the right place to make this valuable information available.”

UB A.I.R. will allow site visitors to submit music, get advice and be featured on UrbanBridgez.com. The staff of the site will review submissions and forward the best ones for Matias to critique. Bi-weekly, two artists will be featured and receive professional feedback by Ivan from an industry round-table of Ivan’s close professional peers.

Ivan says “Self empowerment, direction, inspiration & independence” is the goal. “I want industry hopefuls to learn the pitfalls & detox from what they think they already know about the industry which, is often what is holding them back. Understanding that the ever changing “business” of music is the most important component of success. Talent is only the first of many steps in the journey toward success.” Ivan has currently been in the studio with some heavyweights working on new music and will reveal some of those projects in the coming months.

In addition to the launch of UB A.I.R, UrbanBridgez.com will also introduce a lifestyle platform titled “UB Lifestyle,” Monday as well.

UB Lifestyle will be a platform of blogs revealing personal opinions from UBGteam members covering a wide array of topics including social issues to everything entertainment. Three new journalists have joined the UBGteam and will be contributing to UB Lifestyle as well as conducting artist interviews, covering events and reviews. Included in the new roster of writing talent is Ashley Lewis, daughter of Grammy award winning, iconic producer Terry Lewis and singer/songwriter Karyn White. Lewis currently studying at Howard University has joined UrbanBridgez.com

UrbanBridgez.com recently re-branded their site on Friday August 2nd with an overwhelming response from site visitors, tripling traffic ever since. With momentum gaining from the site, UrbanBridgez has also seen a significant increase in both Facebook and Twitter feeds.
