“SAFE HOUSE” (Universal Pictures) UrbanBridgez.com Movie Review/Interview!
Oscar winner Denzel Washington (American Gangster, The Book of Eli) and Ryan Reynolds (Green Lantern, X-Men Origins: Wolverine) both star in the action-thriller “Safe House.” Washington plays the CIA’s most dangerous traitor, who stuns the intelligence community when he surfaces in South Africa. When the safe house to which he’s remanded is attacked by brutal mercenaries, a rookie (Reynolds) is forced to help him escape. As the masterful manipulator toys with his reluctant protégé, the young operative finds his morality tested and idealism shaken. Now, they must stay alive long enough to uncover who wants them dead.

Denzel Washington is at his best in this action-thriller that leaves you on the edge of your seat from beginning to end. The on-screen chemistry between Washington and Reynolds is seamless and effortless. The films writers did a great job of not making the script too predictable and there are definitely a few scenes that will surprise the viewer and catch you off guard!

“Safe House” is in theatres on Today (February 10th) and if there’s one thing that should be on your list of things to do this weekend; going to see “Safe House” should definitely be one of them!

UrbanBridgez.com spoke with Denzel & Ryan and asked them how they trained for the film, the action in the film is out of this world!
Denzel Washington: We trained with a French guy named Oliver who had us train for 2 to 3 months. We had to wait several months before we could even do the good fight scenes.

Ryan Reynolds: These guys are really good at making it look real ugly. The phone booth scene was crazy and of course Denzel and I had a couple of rounds against each other. I even felt at times that I needed to wear an adult diaper before the scenes with Denzel (both laugh)!
