Her voice and style were showcased at this month’s BET Awards when Keke delivered an impromptu rendition of Michael Jackson’s “Who’s Loving You.”
The success of Palmer’s TV series TRUE JACKSON: VP — which was picked up for a second season by Nickelodeon — led to the July launch of a “tween” fashion line “MAD STYLE” by True Jackson.” The clothes hit Wal-Mart stores in time for back-to-school shopping. Nickelodeon debuts “Testing True” — a True Jackson movie — Saturday, July 25. Palmer plays True Jackson, a teenaged vice president of a fashion house.
Palmer’s big screen career continues to impress with the national release of SHRINK, a drama in which she co-stars with Kevin Spacey. Keke’s character is a troubled teen who wanders into the already chaotic life of a Hollywood Psychiatrist, played by Spacey. The film opens in New York and Los Angeles theaters on July 24, with wider distribution to follow.
Palmer will soon add another title to her resume — producer. She and her parents had been working with writer Adam Davenport for several years to adapt his book OREO into a movie. It’s the story of a teen who holds her divorced parents accountable for the confusion in her life.
