Stokley and KiDi Salute ‘Woman’ In New Visual

Stokley has released his latest visual shot in Ghana, which features AfroBeat superstar KiDi on the track entitled “Woman.

This is the new single from Stokley’s upcoming sophomore album release “Sankofa,” in partnership with Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis’ Flyte Tyme/Perspective Records and his imprint BluRaffe. The album will be released later this year.

Written and produced by Shakespear!, S.Dot and Stokley. “Woman” is a love letter to the gender he affectionately refers to as the “greatest producers of life who help shape the world.”

The accompanying visual, directed by REX, sets the scene with vibrant colors against the beautiful Ghana landscape. Stokley taps into the deep-rooted love and appreciation for the beauty, tenderness, warmth, perseverance, dedication, and dedication strength that all black women exude.

“Cleanse my soul of the pollution
Need water give me hydration
Take me higher than the expectations
You’re my motivation
You’re so beautiful”

The name Sankofa is an African word from the Akan tribe in Ghana meaning “Go Back and Get it,” and Stokley shows that with this album as he literally takes what he loves about music in general and brings it forward to be presented on this album.

Stokley will be hitting the road doing spot dates;

9/4: Cleveland. OH Front Stage Multiplex
9/5: Columbia, MD. Capital Jazz Fest
