One of our favorites Mýa, has dropped the “It’s All About Me” 25th Anniversary Remix – a reinvented heels choreography version of her 1998 debut music video.
The video celebrates Mýa’s remarkable 25-year journey in the music industry, showcasing her enduring talent as a premier dancer and performer.
The 2023 version of “It’s All About Me” is directed and choreographed by the iconic Brian Friedman, a pioneer and entrepreneur in the dance industry, who has worked with top music artists such as Michael Jackson, Celine Dion, Janet Jackson, Prince, Paula Abdul, and more. This collaboration marks another milestone in their history of successful collaborations, including Mýa’s “My Love is like Wo!” music video, Mýa’s MTV ICON tribute performance for Janet Jackson, and Mýa’s fierce “Whatever Bitch” performance from Pepsi Smash.

Mýa initially unveiled the album on April 21, 1998. Right out of the gate, she landed a Top 10 single with the smash “It’s All About Me.” (featuring Sisqo) Powered by “Movin’ On” and and the Babyface & Diane Warren penned, “My First Night With You,” the album went on to be a staple on Billboard 200, and sell over 2 million copies worldwide. It also picked up nominations at the NAACP Image Awards, Billboard Music Awards, and Soul Train Music Awards.
Among the bonus tracks, the collection flaunts a fresh remix of “Movin’ On, (featuring Silkk the Shocker),” Ric Wake’s Spanish-version of “My First Night With You,” and a new R&B remix of “It’s All About Me.” Other new tracks include a 25th Anniversary Mix of “It’s All About Me” in addition to sped-up versions of “Movin’ On Remix” and “It’s All About Me” — which is available to fans for the first time ever.
