UB Spotlight: Creators + Voices Talk New Animated Netflix Series ‘Karma’s World’
“Karma’s World” has debuted on Netflix, it follows Karma Grant, an aspiring musical artist and rapper with big talent and an even bigger heart.
The show stands out as the vision of GRAMMY® Award-winning artist, rapper, actor, producer, entrepreneur and philanthropist Chris Bridges aka “Ludacris” joined by Karma’s World Entertainment and 9 Story Media Group.
Smart, resilient, and deeply empathetic, Karma pours her soul into songwriting, channeling her feelings into whip-smart rhymes with passion, courage and her signature brand of humor. In this series, Karma is only beginning to grasp the incredible emotional power that words and music can have. She doesn’t just want to share her music with the world…she wants to change the world with it!
The series features voices from Tiffany Haddish, Danielle Brooks, Jordan Fisher, Dawnn Lewis, Dascha Polanco and Chris Bridges.
Of course with Ludacris being involved and after building anticipation among fans of all ages, Universal Music Group also released the “Karma’s World Original Soundtrack” Friday.
Audiences were introduced to the soundtrack via the music video for the theme song “Welcome to Karma’s World” performed by star and SinceThe80s/Motown recording artist Asiahn (Karma) via Netflix Futures.
Karma’s World tells “The story of a girl finding her voice and using it to change the world.” The music reflects this spirit of empowerment with its upbeat energy and undeniable charm.
