Reviews: SWV Shows Fans Why We “Missed Them!”

The ladies who brought us such hits as “Weak”, “Right Here”, “Can We,” “I’m So Into You” and a host of others, SWV (Sisters With Voices) are back! They have released a brand new album entitled “I Missed Us” named after one of the tracks on the album, but proves true to fans everywhere as well who missed the R&B sound SWV is known for. The lead single “Co-Sign” reminds listeners of that great SWV sound. Everybody knows the lead singer Coko is a singing fool and with this release LeLee and Taj also take lead on more songs than any previous SWV album. It’s been 15 years since we heard new music from SWV with the exception of Chris Brown’s remix to his hit single “She Ain’t You” in which SWV joined him on.

Brian Cox, Lamb & Jazze Pha were behind the boards on the release and delivered! Some of the stand out tracks include the amazing “Love Unconditionally,” “Use Me,” and the hot dance tracks “All About You,” “Better Than I” and Taj’s flow makes it even hotter. “Show Off” is without a doubt the albums most obvious radio hit and hopefully it’s the next single. They remake Patti LaBelle’s “If You Only Knew” which has become sort of a signature song for Coko in recent years and now it’s included on an SWV album and both Coko & LeLee sing it amazingly, it can’t get any better!
